Over the last two years we have been working extensively with young people to make sure they know about what the corporate film and events industries have to offer, and to support them as they enter our industry.
So we are really excited to announce a new scheme which will be available to EVCOM Next Gen Members (watch this space!). We will be facilitating virtual coffees – could be via zoom or over the phone – between young people and industry professionals. And we need your help to make it happen.
If you are an industry professional working in corporate film and/or events who can spare the odd half hour here and there to chat to a young person then this is the initiative for you. We ask that the industry professionals who sign commit to having four virtual coffees with young people interested in, or starting out in, the industry, over the course of a year. Conversations should last around half an hour and can take place virtually or on the phone. The young people will be asked to come with a few questions. This isn’t an opportunity for them to ask for a job or further support. This is a chance for the young people to find out a bit more about the industry and have some questions answered in an informal setting. Any time and insight you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
