For the first year EVCOMference18 offered free tickets to under 25s to attend and engage with this year’s debate on creativity verses technology. Two of our under 25s were Joshua Carr a student at Bournemouth University and Hannah Dinesh the PR & Social Media Executive for drp.

We met Joshua after being kindly invited to speak at Bournemouth University’s “Client Day” back in April. Along with four other students he attended our Talking Pictures: Corporate Film for the Public Sector at the BFI where he got to meet Senior Managing Directors from across the Live Event and Screen industries. After spending the day with us at EVCOMference18 he wrote up his experience in his blog which can be found here.

Hannah has been with creative communications agency drp since February 2018 and after having extensive experience in PR & Social Media she was keen to hear what came out on top at this year’s debate. Hear her story of the day by clicking here.

EVCOMference18 was kindly supported by the Event Academy to provide hosts who are all passionate about working in events and were keen to network with the attendees and speakers. Jenny Jenkins (EVCOM CEO) reported “This is an event that wouldn’t have been possible without the Event Academy hosts, we are proud to say this is their event.

We thank all our under 25s who attended this year’s EVCOMference18 and look forward to seeing more attend all our events and EVCOMference19. The renewed and future focused feel of EVCOM in 2018 was achieved by the fresh outlook our hosts and under 25s brought with them on the day!
