This week the Event Photography Awards released a second batch of shortlisted photos ahead of their virtual ceremony in November. Across categories such as brand activation, sport and amateur. The range of categories is testament to the huge scope of the events sector, and these photographs capture that!
Best of British
Visit Britain have sponsored the new Best of British category, which their business events team judged with a view to using some of the shots in their promotional campaigns. And there’s some crackers in the collection, including some wonderful shots of and from London venues, plus amazing action shots, from the Cricket World Cup to the Poulterers’ Pancake Race! Enough to bring a tear to the most bullish of British bulldog’s eye!

Private Events
From christenings to wakes and all life’s anniversaries and celebrations in between, bookings made by non-corporate clients are crucial to the commercial viability of the events sector, hence the Private Events category, which is sponsored by Sliced Events, who are adept at managing such occasions, especially at the London Irish Centre in Camden – a secret gem of a venue where such shin-digs are very well catered for…

Brand Activations & Experiential Events
Mash Media have been superb supporters of the Off to Work Event Photographers, as well as the industry as a whole during these dark days; tirelessly campaigning for support and progress through their wide range of media channels.
This year the Group’s leading exhibition International Confex is sponsoring the Brand Activations & Experiential Events category, which as ever attracted an eclectic collection of shots that captured a huge range of special events, corporate launches and away days. Indeed, the photos reflect the huge variety of exhibitors, features and learning opportunities visitors can experience at the show where the event industry meets… Hopefully we’ll be able to do that again at ExCeL London on the show’s new dates 12-13 May 2021.

Best Amateur
With the fourth ‘eclectic collection’ on the trot, it’s time for the Best Amateur category, which collates shots from across the core categories. Sponsored by fast-action, tech-tastic international photography and video agency Splento – so they are not seen to favour their own professional photographers that enter – the category invariably includes camerawork of the highest quality.
