As we get ready to open the EVCOM London Live Awards for entry on the 23rd May, we are really excited to announce a new roster of agency-focused categories for this year’s awards.

Event agencies don’t always have control over the projects they end up working on, and whether or not they are given client permission to share them. Amazing internal events often get stuck behind closed doors and so we aren’t able to celebrate some of the brilliant work being created by our industry.

What agencies can control is their own culture, and the work they are doing to make their agency a wonderful place to work at, and with. So our new categories have been designed to celebrate exactly this. We are going to be recognising ESG strategies and DEI and People Engagement Initiatives. Entrants will be asked to answer three questions around what the initiative or strategy is, the journey to its creation (how they identified the need for the initiative and shaped it to ensure it met the needs of the team and agency) and the impact (what the impact has been on the individuals in the agency, and the agency as a whole). There will be an opportunity for entrants to attach any supporting materials.

Plus we are introducing a new free-to-enter category which will recognise an agency’s overall culture. Take a look at the new agency-focused categories below:

Best People Engagement Initiative

This category recognises an initiative your agency has started in the last year to support your people. We want to find out what the initiative is, and the story behind it: why you started it and the impact it’s having.

Best DEI Initiative

Creating a diverse and inclusive culture is a core goal for most workplaces. This category recognises an initiative your agency has put in place in the last year to ensure your workplace is more diverse and more inclusive.

Best ESG Strategy Initiative

Delivering sustainable events and meeting corporate ESG standards can’t just be project to project. This category recognises an initiative your agency has put in place in the last year to ensure your agency as a whole is meeting your ESG goals.

Best Agency Culture of the Year

In recognition of an agency who has built a culture that its staff and clients want to be a part of. Tell us about your DEI and sustainability initiatives, what you have in place to support the mental health of your staff, and how you keep employees and clients coming back for more.

This category is FREE to enter.

Judges want to see how you met the brief and event objectives, what in your eyes makes this a stand-out event as well as evidence of what it did for the brand and how you measured its success.

EVENT MECHANISMS

Best Use of Production and Technology

Whether you’ve used innovative event tech to support your event, used special effects and production technology to make your event stand out, or experimented with AI, this is the category for you. We want to hear about how you used technology to enhance your event. What did you do that was special, how did you execute the solution and what difference did it make to the overall audience experience?

Creativity and Innovation

In recognition of creativity in event design and delivery, from truly creative concepts to innovative solutions. Did you encourage the client to consider a new approach? Did you come up with creative solutions to challenges presented by the brief and/or along the way?

Best Execution

An award that recognises world class delivery. Judges want to see how you approach the delivery of the event, the problems you overcame, the overall approach you took clearly demonstrating how this had a positive impact on things like the overall experience, delivery team, client, audience etc.

NEW: Best Accessibility Strategy

This award recognises an event that has a really strong accessibility strategy in place. How did you ensure the accessibility needs of your attendees were met? For example, we want to hear about how you’ve made sure your event is physically accessible and/or neuroinclusive, or perhaps how you’ve ensure your event is accessible to underrepresented groups or people with mental health issues. What was your strategy and how did you put it in place throughout the event? How has the client been involved in building and implementing this strategy?

Best Agency and Client Collaboration

This award recognises an event that relied upon collaboration between a client and an agency for its success. We want to hear about what both brought to the table and how you worked together to create something brilliant, and what impact this had on your ongoing relationship. This is an opportunity to give a shout out to a brilliant client who enables great work either by their willingness to embrace new ideas or perhaps the supportive nature of their team. Whatever the qualities, demonstrate how working together created something more powerful.
