The EVCOM Industry Awards, which encompass the EVCOM London Live Awards, the EVCOM London Film Awards and The Clarion Awards, are only open for entries for a handful of weeks more now! Whether you are a first-time writer of an award entry or an old-timer, it has never been easier to script your entry for an EVCOM award. But in case you need a helping hand, we have put together a list of frequently asked (and answered) questions!
I don’t know which category to enter!
If in doubt, give us a call and we’ll happily chat it through with you. But a good rule of thumb is to enter the category that you want to win – the most. And if in doubt, enter multiple categories. Winning projects rarely stand-out in only one category so consider multiple entries. And don’t worry. If you have entered a category where your project does not shine, we’ll call and let you know.
My client is awards-shy; what should I do?
Some clients are a little awards-shy and sometimes for good reason. Clients who need to be anonymous, can be. We’ll need to know who the client is for the judging process but, from that point on, you have the option to keep your client’s name out of the spotlight. We can ensure that client name is anonymous throughout and, if required, judged only be representatives from outside their specific sector. We’ll also speak directly to your client and talk them through our process and safe-guards.
I’d like to enter but I don’t have time to write my entries!
We understand. Client work comes first and you might find yourself running hard up against our deadline and well as your own. Think about short-cuts. It might be quicker (or easier) to upload a filmed piece about your project. Or interview colleagues or clients with our specific criteria to hand. Either way, let us know if you are running out of time and we may be able to offer you a deadline extension.
The project I want to enter was delivered in summer last year. Is it still eligible?
Yes! We are accepting projects that have been published/ delivered since the 15th June 2018 right up until this year’s deadline, 10th June! Anything within that year span is eligible for entry.
I’m not an EVCOM member – can I enter?
Yes! Entrants do not need to be members of EVCOM to enter the awards; however member entrants receive a significant discount on their entries. Find out more about EVCOM Membership here.
