Two years ago, in collaboration with Events 101, we established our inaugural shadow board: a group of filmmakers and event professionals between the ages of 18 – 25 years old. Over the last two years they have advised us on our policies around engaging young people, diversity and inclusion and content. Thanks to them we now have a dedicated Next Gen area full of resources on our website, we have set up a Next Gen instagram and a TikTok, and we run regular shadowing days with our sixth form partner Harringey6. They have had a really significant impact on EVCOM, and as their tenure comes to an end we are looking for ten more event professionals and filmmakers to fill their shoes!
We are looking for people between the ages of 18 – 25 who are currently working in, or want to work in, the events and corporate film sectors. We would expect you to be engaged, reliable, creative and full of ideas. Your duties will include attending shadow board meetings, sitting on small committees with the senior board and contributing content.
Applications close on the 14th June, following which there will be an interview process with EVCOM and Events 101 personnel. Once appointed, your tenure will last from July 2023 – July 2025.
