With our AGM approaching, we are calling for two EVCOM members to join our volunteer board. This is an opportunity to drive and to shape EVCOM, and to ensure that we continue to be the voice and the association that our membership needs. We encourage applications from senior leaders, however we also actively encourage applications from mid-level people in the industry. Ultimately we are looking for people with the energy and commitment to support EVCOM going forwards.

You will have the chance to advise on our awards ceremonies and our conference, to shape content and to put your own new ideas into action. We ask all board members to commit to a term of two years to ensure continuity, after which they are welcome to stay on.

The EVCOM Board meets once every other month, either in person or online. We would expect you to be available to attend each of these meetings.

To be considered for the EVCOM Board, please email Claire at Claire.fennelow@evcom.org.uk. Please include in your email why you would like to join the EVCOM Board and what you feel you could bring.

As well as these two roles, we are also looking to appoint a Diversity Sponsor. This is a step towards one of the commitments that we have made as recent signatories of the Race at Work Charter. The Diversity Sponsor would be an equal part of the voluntary EVCOM Board, but would have a particular focus on diversity and inclusion issues. They would support in the development of the FOCUS Award, and advise around EVCOM’s diversity and inclusion commitments. To be considered for this role, please email Claire at Claire.fennelow@evcom.org.uk, with a little bit about yourself and what you could bring to the role. If you know someone that you feel would suit this role well, then please do feel free to nominate them.

The EVCOM AGM is taking place on 8th October. You can register for your free place here. Please note, this is a member only event.
