A new year means new beginnings, and we are delighted to begin this year by welcoming several new members to our community!

JL Live

JLLive are a full service audio-visual & digital content production partner to the events and exhibitions industries, delivering immersive and interactive live events to both in-person and on-demand audiences.

Their broadcast quality levels of production are helping to redefine a new genre of ‘televised events’ as we move toward a post-Covid age of blended real and digital world experiences.

They uniquely blend the magic of television and film with the physical environment to elevate the human experience and help creative agencies and corporates enable their brands to emotionally engage with and inspire their increasingly sophisticated audiences.

CEO & Founding Partner, Phil McMichael, says, “We are absolutely delighted to be so warmly welcomed into the EVCOM family; being part of such a celebrated and creative community of innovators is an inspirational place to live.

Given our heritage of television, film and event production, our passion at JLLive lies in using creative production techniques to curate inspirational experiences that blend the magic of television and in-person events into highly valued productions that captivate, educate, entertain and immerse every type of audience.

Whether we collaborate on projects at BBC Television Centre, in our/your event studio or once again at a large conference or sales kick-off we promise to compliment your innovation with our technology and truly deliver creative and memorable experiences.

Here’s a quick look at how we did just that with BBC Scotland when they asked us to help them deliver a hybrid style event for their marquee New Years Eve 2020 production. Although the in-person audience ultimately could not attend due to Covid restrictions, the event blended international virtual guests, in-person guests, live bands and a virtual audience wall. The pacing of the event, the variation of interviews, the live music, the outside broadcast element, the fireworks and therefor the timely use of entertainment, education and a little fun kept the ‘small screen’ audience captivated throughout.”

Starstruck

Starstruck is a digital, marketing and brand production company with a broadcast background. They know how to produce stories that spark emotion and deliver live and engaging fast-turnaround content for their clients. Their services include branded content, live and broadcast

The team at Starstruck say, “We are thrilled to be joining EVCOM. Working in tandem with a community of like-minded businesses, whose services align with our own, has been absolutely key to our strategy this past year. One of the few silver linings of operating during a pandemic has been the incredible acceleration of remote and virtual production. We are really looking forward to taking what we have learnt in 2020 forward and building new relationships with EVCOM members.

Claire and Amelia make a great team and have been incredibly supportive and responsive to our ideas for collaboration. We’re excited to see what events they have in-store for us in 2021, and are hopeful that we will be able to gather in person with fellow members in the very near future!”
