Job description/ responsibilities:
We have a new direct opportunity for a Senior AV Technician based in London that underpins the service delivery strategy for our client’s Audio Visual Department.
You will be expected to provide expert technical support meetings, conference, webinars, and content creation (filming and editing). You will be supporting AV technicians to reaching a high level of competence across a wide range of event technology disciplines.

The main focus of this role is to:
- To use technology to plan and deliver the highest quality face to face, virtual and hybrid meetings, conferences, and events possible.
- To be skilled and knowledgeable in the set-up, configuration and operation of a broad range of event technologies
- To be organised, creative, positive, team and customer focused, in everything you do.
- To lead and mentor less experienced AV technicians and freelance staff.
- To ensure the technical assets of our client’s organisation are appropriately managed and maintained to ensure consistent effective event delivery.

What you’re responsible for:
- The planning and successful technical delivery of conferences and meetings for both their internal and external customers.
- Monitoring activity and improving processes to ensure that all AV technicians correctly operate, store and maintain technical equipment and platforms to standards designed to ensure effective use and longevity.
- Contributing ideas that improve what the team does and offers new opportunity for revenue generation.
- Portraying our client as a positive and customer organisation at all times.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably expected and which are commensurate with the level of the post, adhere and comply with the provisions of our client’s health and safety policy, undertake all duties and responsibilities in compliance with the rules and regulations encompassing equal opportunities.
- Contribute to the work of our client’s Department and wider activities.
Expected areas of specific knowledge (intermediate or expert)
- Audio (microphones, mixing desks, recoding audio, gain structure, Dante)
- Visual (LED screen and projectors, matrix image switchers, MS PowerPoint, Keynote, QLab)
- Video (Cameras, Streaming, Video Editing, Adobe CC, OBS, VMix, Teams, Zoom)
- Lighting (Desks and fixtures, DMX)
- IT (Network, MS Office)
- Hospitality / Customer service
Your experience includes:
Essential:
- Working in a customer facing role
- Working in a similar venue or content production organisation
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of the video production, events, or technical arts industries
- Demonstrable knowledge of all AV disciplines (audio, projection, video, IT, lighting)
- A technical or creative art qualification (desirable)
