We are looking for a Producer or an experienced Assistant Producer to join our busy team based at our East London office in Hackney, London. We are an education production company dealing with complex academic, hard hitting social topics. Our films are short form and include documentaries, drama, animation and talking heads. Clients include world leaders in education such as The BBC, The Open University and Discovery Education.
You will have experience of working across multiple short form productions with commissioners and academic experts within the education filmmaking world. You must have a strong commitment and belief in educational films as a powerful change for good in society.
Most of our films are based on educational frameworks and qualifications so academic experience and interest is essential.
Working across multiple short form films in a fast paced production office you must be able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities include sourcing and liaison with contributors, production research, finding and clearing suitable archive material from a variety of sources. Handling shoot schedules, budgets, writing treatments, scripts and interview questions as required. Working to project schedules and budgets and taking ownership of the full cycle of a commission from development to final delivery. Excellent experience of the post production process is required as well as hands on editing skills.
You will need to be a good communicator and team player with an awareness and attention to deadlines and detail within a complex production schedule with multiple deliverables across various active projects and those in the development and pitching stage.
Experience:
The salary is based on experience, but we are ideally looking for a Producer or an experienced Assistant Producer with 2 – 5 years of previous work experience.
Essential skills include:
- Working knowledge of Kanban and Trello
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and Google docs
- Intermediate editing skills across Premier and Final Cut Pro
- Ability to prep drive and DIT on location as required
