Job Title: Digital QA Test Analyst

Purpose
You’ll work on innovative digital solutions and champion a culture of excellence working for exciting high-profile clients like EE, Jaguar Land Rover, Sainsbury’s, and Lloyds Banking Group. You’ll join our digital team and take the role of Test Analyst on our digital projects. You will work within a testing team and work closely with the test manager and our designers, developers, and project managers to ensure quality assurance across complex, multi-platform and dynamic business systems.
Principle duties
  • Support the Test Manager and the digital team by ensuring a high level of quality assurance is achieved across all digital projects.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams and quality assurance testing team to identify testable conditions, advising best approach and produce accurate reporting.
  • Document and design detailed test plans based on user acceptance criteria’s.
  • Analysing requirements, compiling reports updating issue tracking tools with detailed reproduction steps.
  • Use your knowledge and experience to support and develop best practice, and improve efficiency and effectiveness of quality assurance processes.
  • Support projects by providing constructive critique to not only report quality assurance issues but to help improve and shape products.
  • Have your finger on the pulse and be aware of new technologies and testing methods that will benefit the department.

Experience
  • Must have strong experience in unit testing, integration testing, system testing and acceptance testing
  • Must have experience of planning tests and designing
  • Must have a solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle ‘SDLC’ and STLC
  • Must have experience in using issue tracking tools including JIRA
  • Must have experience of testing both user interfaces and APIs using tools like Postman
  • Must have experience of accessibility testing
  • Must have strong experience of both cross browser and device testing
  • Must have experience of working in both agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Must have experience of working within project teams
  • Must have experience of working in SCRUM and KANBAN teams
  • Must have at least 3-5 years working in a testing role
Skills / characteristics
  • Certification in ISEB / ISTQB
  • Experience of automated testing tools like selenium
  • Knowledge of using screen readers
  • Understanding of system security and GDPR
  • Managing a small team
  • Experience of usability best practice
  • Understanding the principals of PHP frameworks
  • Must have a strong eye for detail
  • A logical and analytical thinker
  • Work well in a team
  • Willingness to learn new skills and develop professionally to help further the team
  • Positive attitude towards challenging situations and multi-tasking
  • Good time management skills involving the ability to estimate accurately the time required to complete digital projects
  • High attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work and communicate with and translate digital solutions to non-IT personnel
  • Must be committed to making ‘anything possible’ with a ‘can do’ attitude
Other requirements
  • Able to travel throughout the UK and overseas
  • Full, clean drivers’ licence

Further notes
The role will be based primarily in our Worcestershire head office and will require regular travel to other office locations. You will be expected to work flexibly and undertake other related commercial duties both in the UK and overseas as the company may from time to time reasonably require.
