Job description/ responsibilities:

We are expanding our Sales Solutions team and we are looking for a Business Development Manager. As an integral part the team, you will be responsible for driving growth within our UK Group Accommodation Service.

You will proactively build strong client relationships, delivering a targeted sales and engagement strategy that drives revenue growth. We are looking for a confident, passionate Sales or Account Management professional, who has experience of large UK venues, a desire to make connections and who has the ability to think outside the box.

Experience Required:

As our Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income, to an agreed annual target
  • To proactively manage our existing Commercial Partnership relationships with venues at a Sales/Account team level
  • Present BCD Meetings & Events to potential clients through a multitude of communication channels
  • Actively and successfully manage the full sales process
  • Work alongside other internal teams to implement new business
  • Keep up to date with event industry information, attending industry networking events and keeping abreast of what’s happening in the industry
  • Manage and maintain your sales pipeline
  • Thrive on no two days being the same

  • Delivering results against set sales targets
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Use initiative and take a proactive approach
  • Confident in MS Packages

You might also have:

  • Previous event industry sales experience
  • Group Accommodation knowledge
  • Salesforce or other CRM expertise

You should know:

  • This is a UK remote based role that will require flexibility to attend meetings and networking events which will include some evenings across the UK
  • Our core business hours are 9.00 – 17.30 with an hour break
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
