Our brilliant panelists, Jamie Vaughan (cvent), Jon Gout (Karma) and Andrew Reid (A-vision), discussed the virtual world, in a session hosted and facilitated by Dale Parmenter (DRPG). They shared top tips and advice on how to create high quality content, security and technology, how to ensure interactivity in the virtual sphere and how to learn from live events and AR. Our communication channels are being turned on their heads and yet it is more important than ever to keep communicating, with clients and with your internal team.

This is a chance, they agreed, for the live event sector and the video sector to work collaboratively in a way never seen before. This true collaboration – which is what EVCOM brings together via its membership – will be at the heart of successful virtual events. Planning, they recommend, shouldn’t change. Thorough preparation, use of registration, rehearsal, apps etc should fall to the wayside. The only difference between a virtual event and a live event is the venue!
