I’m a freelance director & filmmaker available for hire who can write too. From pitch to screen I’ve been making corporate/brand films for many years spliced with TV documentary work. Recent work includes ‘I’m a…brand film’, ‘These are the Hands’ and the short documentary film about professional business coach Michael Portz.
Specialist knowledge of the energy sector, financial services, NGO’s & charities. Strengths; working on lower budgets (!); human stories, emotion, interviewing & imaginative storytelling; and telling engaging, impactful stories on a tight budget is part of my DNA.
Since 2018 I’ve picked up 2 Golds, 2 Silvers and 1 Bronze for BP film ‘Your Leadership, Our Future’ at New York Festivals International TV & Film Awards + EVCOM London Film Awards: my 10 short film series ‘Jessica’s parkrun heroes’ broadcast by Sky, sponsored by Vitality Health Insurance, received the highest ratings and appreciation in Sky’s history for a sponsored programme; winning the Best Director Bronze at the 2019 EVCOM London Film Awards + an EVCOM Clarion Awards Silver award.
My charity film ‘Inquisition’ also got nominated in the Best Director category at the 2019 London Film Awards. And my charity film ‘Painting Myself Brave’ won Silver at the 2018 EVCOM London Film Awards in the Best Charity/Welfare category; going on to win Best Documentary Short at the Los Angeles One-Reelers Festival later that year.
