Creative communications agency DRPG has brought home four gold trophies from the New York TV & Film Awards, earning international recognition for their storytelling and craft across two powerful pieces of work.
Awarded in categories spanning Corporate Image, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Animation, the wins reflect the impact creative collaborations has with clients, in this case with Tesco and PPC.
The Behind the Smile film, created with Tesco, was recognised with gold in both the Social Good and Corporate Social Responsibility categories. A raw and moving portrayal of mental health in the workplace, the film takes viewers behind the front-line experience of Tesco colleagues, helping drive internal conversation, awareness and empathy across the business.
In the animation categories, The Power of Energy, created for PPC, also earned two golds – Animation and Event Venue Experience. The visually arresting film explores the unseen potential of human and renewable energy, using immersive animation to spark curiosity and engagement among event audiences.
Scott Horsfield, Head of Film at DRPG, commented: “We always aim for our films to connect emotionally, but to see that impact recognised at a global level makes it even more meaningful. These wins are a result of brilliant partnerships and a team that’s committed to pushing creative boundaries with every brief.”
Martin McKean, Head of Creative for Film and Animation, added: “To win across such a diverse set of categories shows the depth and versatility of our team. Whether it’s real people sharing raw stories or abstract ideas brought to life through animation, we’re constantly looking for new ways to inspire, provoke and engage.”
The New York TV & Film Awards honour content that demonstrates excellence and innovation in global media. With entries from over 40 countries, competition is fierce, making each win a reflection of DRPG’s continued creative momentum.
These latest accolades follow DRPG retaining the number two position in the EVCOM & Moving Image UK Top 50, cementing their place as one of the UK’s leading film and content production agencies.
Dale Parmenter, CEO of DRPG, said: “We’re proud to see our work recognised on the global stage. These projects show the power of communication to drive real impact, whether that’s supporting a culture of openness at Tesco or energising delegates through imaginative storytelling with PPC. A huge thank you to our brilliant clients for believing in us, and to our team for pushing creative boundaries every step of the way.”
