Challenger Agency of the Year

For the best smaller (20 staff or fewer) events agency. Entrants should clearly explain how the company has developed including financial evidence that outlines successful projects and how they contributed. Judges will look for statistical evidence, client/employee testimonials, staff retention, turnover and profit growth, CSR policies and achievements, award wins and product/service innovation. Employees must be staff with permanent employment agreements whether part-time or full-time. Entrants may calculate staff as full-time equivalents (FTEs). Entrants must have business events production as a primary focus of their business.

Challenger production company of the year

For the smaller (five staff or fewer) production company that has achieved measurable excellence during the past year. Issues to be judged include staff retention, turnover and profit growth, CSR policies and achievements, award wins and product/service innovation. The winner could have broken new ground in corporate film and must have moving image production as a primary focus of its business. Employees must be staff with permanent employment agreements whether part-time or full-time. Entrants may calculate staff as full-time equivalents (FTEs).

Communication effectiveness

Screen, Digital or Live. For the project which has had the most positive, verifiable and measurable impact on a client’s business. Evaluation has a critical role to play in the communication industry as clients require evidence of return on investment. Measuring effectiveness should be integrated into the planning, production and delivery process, and the best examples prove the huge value of corporate communication.

Judges will look for statistical evidence and client testimonials.

Internal communication

Screen, Digital or Live. Projects commissioned to keep internal teams informed, engaged and motivated. Entries should aim to demonstrate how they exceeded the client’s objectives by connecting with target audiences through internal channels.

Production company of the year

For film, digital or live event projects that are part of a regular series (at least three times per year). Series offer the opportunity for ongoing evaluation that feeds into more successful engagement with the target audience and greater return on investment for the client. For example, a campaign with more than three activations in a 12-month period. Entries can mix media including moving image, live events and digital.
